Interdenominational Chapel

Each wall piece is 3.0' (0.9 m) wide and varies up to 4.4' (1.3 m) in height.

The four multi-layered "windows" comprising the stained glass in this chapel are mirror-lit and wall-mounted in this small meditation chapel which has no real windows. An installation such as this introduces the impression of "window" and the richness of stained glass in a judicious way that makes it both precious and cost effective while expanding the "feel" of the space.
Interdenominational Chapel
The interdenominational nature of the chapel is reflected in the universal Altar "Window" which depicts the transcendent plane of spiritual enlightenment rising from the drapery-like shroud of night sky which represents the material world. Along the sides of the chapel are three similar "windows" that represent each of the three predominant religions of Hawaii.

The starry, shroud of the material world enfolds each of these "windows" in such a way as to reveal the predominant symbol for each religion in the disc of the spiritual plane (i.e. the Buddhist Dharmakakra, the Christian Cross and the Jewish Star).

The night sky shrouds of stained glass are layered to reinforce their three dimensional appearance. The circular discs are framed with recessed mirror that allows these "windows" to self-illuminate, revealing the rich and sparkling beauty of mouthblown glass.
