Amber and Bluegreen “Sidelights”

Private Residence
Dallas, TX

Art Consultant:
Jackie Jackson

approximately 20” by 48” each

German and French mouthblown glass, lead and solder.

The panel on the left (with ambers) was originally designed as a front door sidelight for a renovated, prairie-style home in Dallas. Upon installation, the spouse who was not consulted during the design process insisted that it be removed. Let this be a lesson...

Anyway, three years later a friend of the original client, purchased the now framed panel and requested a companion panel (the one with blue-greens) to hang in the two larger sidelights flanking double patio doors at their residence. Subsequently the newer client moved and the two “sidelights” now hang next to each other in yet another residence.
C’est la vie!
