Porte Cochere and Lobby Area Sheraton Grand Hotel Houston, Texas Architecture: Harris Design, Dallas Art Consultant: Art Group, Dallas 2.6' x 7.4' (0.76 x 2.25m) The landscaped fountain just outside of this window inspired the fluidity and splash in the stained glass design. The rich sparkling textures of the clear transparent glasses and filmy white "splash" of opal glass produce an impression of privacy in the lounge area of the lobby while preserving glistening views out to the sky and nearby trees. Square tiles punctuating the exterior masonry walls on a 2 foot grid is reiterated in the stained glass by equal sized squares of dichroic glass.
