Top Detail
The loweset section of the main window is located in front of the Brides’ Room. At this level privacy was obviously required. The upper sections of the window are the focus in the main Sanctuary. By using a palette of white glass that grades from dense white at the bottom into filmy whites and transparent clears at the top both the necessary visual separation and privacy would be achieved in the Brides’ Room while and expansive sense of spatial flow and views to mountains and sky would happen in the upper sections of the Sanctuary. Similarly, color ranging from dense, translucent colors in lower areas into radiant lighter colors in the Sanctuary would reinforce this dual need for privacy and celebration. The colored band that moves out from the base of the main window flows into the smaller periferal windows that flank the main window.
