Arizona Arroyo: Living Room Wall Window 8.0' x 4.0' (2.4 x 1.2 m) The line drawing on which this design is based came from some photography I had done of fractured geologic formations in the area. Because of the higher complexity of the detailing in the stained glass the mirror is framed closer to the stained glass panels than in the previous example. This prevents the reflections from wandering too far from their source.
The amber and yellow transparent and opak glasses are obvious choices for this arid desert area. Surprisingly, the blue transparent glasses are equally appropriate in acknowledgement of the periodic torrents of water that rush through arroyos producing most of the incredible geologic formations in the area.
